Fund Raiser at Johnson City Country Club

Jim and I attended the Salvation Army Festival of Tables Benefit Dinner. We were invited by our financial advisor through Edward Jones. The event was held at the beautiful Johnson City Country Club. We had a great time, won the item we bid on, got to hear Carson Peters play, listen to story teller David Miller and lots of money was raised! What a fun evening for a great cause.



Barter with the Girls

I love going to Barter Theatre; and attending a play with these sweet ladies made it even more fun. Everyone met at my house and then we all went to Raffaele's for dinner. The play "Dixie Swim Club" was at the Barter Stage II with front row seats. OMGoodness, the play was hilarious! We laughed and talked about it for days! I love these girls!

Sunday, Funday, Shopping Day with Elizabeth

I told Malisha that Elizabeth needed a new toy - so shopping we went.  Ooops - I meant to say she needed a few toys!

She knows there is always ice cream at Mamaw and Papaw's!

Happy Independence Day - July 4th

Every year for the 4th we go to a cookout with the Squibb's! They are such fun and crazy people! The food is always amazing and Mark set off fireworks at the end of the night making the day even more fun! Love these guys!

Summer Fun

Back in March I took a class at ETSU to get my carry permit. Jim and I enjoy target shooting and try to go when we have time.

We were at the shooting range. Jim says "someone is breaking in. Your gun in in the cabinet. What would you do?"  I quickly picked up my gun, cocked it and fired. This is how I did on my first shot!

 After the shooting range we stopped at Evergreen for a few plants! For some reason he wasn't nearly as happy as he was at the shooting range!  ;)

 We love getting fresh fruits and vegetables at the Farmer's Market. We also love Strawberry Freezer Jam!

 During the July 4th week we took Malisha and Elizabeth to the Wilderness in Pigeon Forge. We stayed in a really nice suite with a kitchenette, large beds and a balcony. Elizabeth had a blast playing in water and riding the waves. She is not afraid of anything!

Jim bought Harley Sportster last year and has really enjoyed riding it. I wanted to start riding with him, so he looked, researched and found this Street Glide. He added the back rest to make longer trips more comfortable for me. I never thought I would enjoy riding a bike so much but it is a lot of fun!

Ok, so I'm not a big Charlie Daniels fan but I must say - the concert he put on at Fun Fest this year was amazing! I am so glad we went and I would certainly attend one of his concerts again! He will be 80 years old in October but you would never know it. He was awesome!
