UT vs. VT Battle at Bristol

We invited Tom, Leslie and Barbara over to watch the game. Oh what a fun evening!
Score: UT 45  and VT 24 - yes it was a great evening!

Battle at Bristol Tailgate Party

For Jim's 65th birthday I surprised him with tickets to the Battle at Bristol Tailgate concert/party. We got there around 2:30 so we could check out all the fun stuff going on before the concert started.



As we were going through the gate our sweet friend Cheryl asked us if we would like to be down in the pit/sandbar area. She gave us wristbands to wear which allowed us to go anywhere! We were about 5 feet from the stage! OMGoodness it was amazing!

Old Dominion was the first band to play - they were really good and loved the crowd!

  

The Band Perry was awesome! You could see tears in her eyes she was so happy from the crowds response! 

We watched the stagehands change out the sides of the stage with Kenny Chesney banners.



Before the concert started they dropped this large curtain - anticipation of Kenny's appearance was rising!



He was also overtaken by the crowds response! The joy was beaming from him - he was playing in front of 46,000 fans! Everyone sang the words to every song he played. Someone once said you know you have really made it when the crowd knows the words to all your songs! 

 



Happy Labor Day

We always have the best time with this fun bunch! Everyone brings a covered dish, Mark does his magic on the grill, lots of stories are told and memories are made. I love hanging out with this crew. 

Beautiful Baby Shower for Andrea

My sweet friend Barbara is having her first grandbaby - a little boy and I'm so excited for her! Instead of your typical baby shower snacks and appetizers we chose to have a nice dinner. We fixed salad, pasta, bread, tea, infused water and a beautiful cake and cupcakes. Of course my awesome husband was there helping park cars and clean up afterwards (what would I do without him!).  We had a beautiful time!
